Yesterday, I posted a story about a gentlemen looking for Civil War the Musical. Now, that very same day that I spoke to that charming gentlemen, about 3-4 hours later, ANOTHER man came in. I would try to explain the conversation but it will just be better if I dialogue it for you.
Me: How are you today?
Him: Good, I'm looking for a war movie.
Me: Oh! Ok, documentaries or actual movies?
Him: THE war movies.
Me: Well we don't have a war section in our store, so if you know what you're looking for, I can tell you if we have it and where it would be.
Him: I'm looking for World War II movies.
Me: Ok, but I can't really look up keywords. I need a title to look it up.
Him: I told you the title. World War II THE movie. You know? It happened in like 1945 or something like that?
Me: Well ya, that's around when the war took place, but there would only be documentaries from then, no movies were made about the war while the war was going on.
Him: Oh. Uh. Well I am looking for World War II the movie. It exists. I KNOW it does.
Me: Sorry sir, nothing in our system.
I probably should've just shown him something like Band of Brothers, but oh well. Some people just don't know what they're looking for. I pride myself on having a pretty good encyclopedia of films, but some people just don't understand that some things just don't exist however badly they want it to. Oooooh retail.
